Afghan Ersari rugs belong to the Ersari tribe in Afghanistan. Characterized by their own carpet motifs and designs. These tribal designs are best known for the “fil-poi”or elephant’s foot shapes which are a large octagonal gul now described as Bukhara patterns. Within these patterns there is a lot of variety.
